DECEPTA — TERMS OF SERVICE

By accessing or using Decepta ("the Service," "the Platform," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using Decepta, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. The Service involves real-money staking and onchain financial transactions and is not directed at, or intended for use by, minors.

You further represent that your use of Decepta is lawful in your jurisdiction of residence. Decepta does not guarantee the Service is legal to use in every jurisdiction and disclaims responsibility for users accessing the Service from jurisdictions where such use is prohibited.

You must create an account to use most features of the Service, via the authentication methods we support (e.g., Google OAuth, wallet connection). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and wallet credentials. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

Decepta is a skill-based competitive platform. Outcomes in Duel, Cipher, and Friday Event modes are determined by player performance — observation, deduction, and response time — not by chance. Nothing in these Terms should be construed as Decepta operating as a game of chance, lottery, or casino-style gambling product.

5.1 Staking
Certain modes require staking funds as a condition of participation. Stakes are held in escrow via smart contract until the relevant match, duel, or prediction resolves, at which point funds are distributed per the outcome and the Platform's published fee structure.

5.2 Wallets
You may use an internal embedded wallet (provisioned via our wallet infrastructure provider) or connect an external wallet. You are solely responsible for the security of any externally connected wallet, including private key management. Decepta is not liable for losses resulting from compromised external wallets, lost private keys, or user error in wallet management.

5.3 No reversal of onchain transactions
Transactions settled onchain are generally irreversible. You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of blockchain-based transactions, including but not limited to network congestion, transaction failures, and smart contract risk.

5.4 Fees
The Platform charges fees on certain transactions and settlements (e.g., a percentage fee on Duel pot settlement, Friday Event winnings). Current fee structures will be made available within the Service and are subject to change with notice.

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play or gain unfair advantage
• Collude with other users to manipulate match outcomes
• Create or control multiple accounts to circumvent matchmaking, staking limits, or platform rules
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service's server-authoritative systems
• Use the Service for money laundering or any unlawful financial activity
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Circumvent the Service's invite-link-only matchmaking system

Violation of this section may result in account suspension, forfeiture of staked funds tied to fraudulent activity, and/or reporting to relevant authorities where applicable.

All content, branding, riddles, software, and design elements of Decepta are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without express permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

We do not guarantee blockchain network performance, transaction confirmation times, or token/asset value. You acknowledge that participation in onchain activity carries inherent financial risk, including potential total loss of staked funds.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Decepta and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of funds, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with the governing law and venue specified at the time such disputes arise, as communicated through the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the integrity of the Platform. Where funds are implicated in fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to freeze withdrawals pending investigation.

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be communicated through the Service prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
